Tawhid al-Asma’ was-Sifaat

We single Him, the Glorified, out in His names and attributes. So, there is no equal, no similitude, no resemblance, no equal and no likeness unto Him, the Glorified:

“Say, He is Allah the One. Allah as-Samad [free of all wants]. He begets not, nor is He begotten, and there is none like unto Him.” [al-Ikhlas]

He, the Glorified is singled out with the attributes of glory and completion that He has described Himself with in His Book, or what His Prophet [sallallahu alayhi was sallam] described Him with in his Sunnah. So we do not attribute anyone from His creation with anything of His attributes nor do we derive [names] for him [that person] from His names, we strike no similitude for Him, the Glorified or resemble Him with any of the creation- nor do we deviate [by denial] in the names of our Lord the Glorified.

Rather, we believe in what He described Himself with and what His Messenger, [alayhis salatu was salam] described Him with- in reality and not figuratively- without distortion, denial, asking ‘how’, or resembling. Continue reading

A woman travelling to the field of Jihad in Sham and the ruling of carrying out a marriage contract over skype.

There is a sister from Tunis, her husband was martyred in Sham and then she returned to Tunis. She has five small children and she has found there a truthful brother from Sham to marry her but he is not able to come to Tunis and so he wants to have the Islamic marriage contract through skype. I am the husband of her sister and they want to to be a witness on the marriage contract and he wants her to join him in the land of Sham. Whats the ruling on this marriage contract, barakallah feek.

In the Name of Allah the Benificent the Merciful,

Dear brother, we advise the brothers all with what Shaykh Maqdisi advised the Mujahideen and Muhajireen in Sham and that is to not bring the women to the land of Sham and that is to avoid exposing them to what will happen if they become prisioners and fall into the hands of the enemies of Allah. And the Shaykh wrote a letter on this and if you return to it you will find much good.

As for the marriage contract, if it includes all the pillars and conditions of a contract, even if it is done through means of modern communications then it is a valid contract.

What is the ruling on the one who judges by other than what Allah Sent down and what is wajib on us towards him?

What is the Shariah ruling ruling (or judging) by other than what Allah Sent down (i.e. The Shariah) and is it like the rulers of the Ummawiyaah and Abassiyah states- kufr duna kufr – or is their kufr the kufr which exits one from the Milat (Islam, i.e Major kufr). And what is wajib on us towards these rulers so as that we will be excused in front of Allah, in either situation?

The ruler who rules by other that what Allah Sent down, whether that is by the Man made laws or whether it is by customs and traditions, theses are kuffar mushrikeen.

Allah said:

وَلَا يُشْرِكُ فِي حُكْمِهِ أَحَدًا
He makes none to share in His Decision and His Rule
Surat Al Kahf 18:26

And Allah Said:

إِنِ الْحُكْمُ إِلَّا لِلَّهِ
The decision is only for Allah
Surat Al Anam 6:57

And their kufr is kufr akbar (major kufr) by Ijmaa (concensus) and this consensus was reported by Ibn Kathir and others from his contemporaries from Ahlus Sunnah.

Allah Said:

ومن لم يحكم بما أنزل الله فأولئك هم الكافرون
And whosoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed, such are the Kafirun
Surat Al Maidah 5:44

And Allah Says: Continue reading

Asalaamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh

Bismillahi Rahmaani Raheem

Praise be to Allah Lord of the Worlds and May Peace and Blessings be upon the Messenger o f Allah and his family and companions, furthermore:

This is a statement I read on behalf of my brothers from Tantheem al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) concerning what was said in the last address of the noble Sheikh Abu Bakr al Baghdadi (May Allah protect him), leader of Dawlatul Islam titled ‘Although the disbelievers dislike it’, issued on the 20th of Muharram 1436 A.H.

We say firstly: We did not want to speak about the discord and current Fitnah in Shaam. Especially at this sensitive stage, in which the enemies of Islam from amongst the crusaders, Safawiyeen (Safavids) and Murtadeen (apostates) are rushing into a war against the Mujahideen in Shaam and Iraq, infact against the entire Muslim Ummah. This war was and continues to be a crusade against all of the truthful Mujahideen.

We took a position that we were obligated to; to assist our brothers however we are able, and we remain that way out of the belief that it is wajib (incumbent) upon us to aid our brothers, the Mujahideen, with all their groups, entities and different movements. We ask Allah to defeat the Ahzaab (confederates) and turn their plots against them, Verily He is capable of that.

And we took all efforts internally amongst our soldiers, as well as in our media, not to discuss the conflict that has occurred in Shaam, considering what had occurred, a conflict and dispute between a number of parties, each claiming to be in the right, which made it incumbent upon us to take one stance towards all (parties). Calling on them to seize the fighting and spread of the Fitnah (sedition), and encouraging them to take the matter to an Islamic court to pass judgement on the matter. We tried and continue to do so despite the rift and chasm (created), until the hearts are united and the stance united on the fight against the real enemies, the crusaders, Rawaafidh (Shi’as) and Murtadeen (apostates). And to stop the fighting and spilling of blood between the Mujahideen, that has become the greatest calamity that the Ummah is being trialled with at this stage. How, when Rasoolullah (S.A.W) has said: ‘The extinction of the whole world is less significant before Allah than killing a Muslim man.’ And we have avoided (addressing) in our media the arguments and debates that have arisen from the conflict and fighting in Shaam, among it, the accusation that Al Qaeda has deviated and their Manhaj (methodology) has changed and have turned away from the path. Despite this we forgave (the person) that brought this up (May Allah Pardon him) and we left the controversy incited not for the lack of clarification and proof but, in preference that the Muslims do not become preoccupied with side issues and marginal bickering, confusing our message to the Muslims, and sending us into a position in which we are distracted by fighting each other instead of our enemies. We overlooked this out of the desire to stop the evil. Continue reading
